Pavilion · For cricket clubs

This weekend,posted.Every season,kept.

Pavilion runs your cricket club’s Instagram from Play-Cricket, reads your old scorebooks into one complete history, and puts the club’s statistics on your website. In your colours, approved from a phone.

Fourteen days free. No card.

How it fits together

One record.Three ways out.

Everything Pavilion does comes from one place: your club’s record. Play-Cricket fills it, your scorebooks fill the years before Play-Cricket, and anything else can be typed in. Then it goes out three ways.

  • Play-Cricket

Read only, through your club’s own key. Every season it holds.

  • The scorebooks

Photographed: a page, a folder or a whole book.

  • What you type

A fixture, a team sheet or a scorecard nobody kept anywhere else.

One place

Your club’s record

Every fixture, scorecard and player, from the first season you have to last Saturday.

The week

Five posts a week, drafted beforeanyone asks.

Play-Cricket already holds every fixture, scorecard and league position your club has. It just never reaches anyone. This is that data, on a fixed weekly rhythm, in a design that belongs to you.

And the season, added up.

Your design

It carries yourcrest, or it isnot worth posting.

Nothing here is a stock template with a logo dropped in the corner. Your crest, your colours, your ground and your sponsors are set up once and every card is built from them. Two clubs, same system, and you would not know they were related.

Your crest.

Set in the header band of every card, at the size it was drawn to be read at, never squashed into a corner.

Your colours.

Read off your crest when you sign up, and applied to headers, rules, chips, highlight rows and the verdict stamp.

Your sponsors.

Along the footer of every card that goes out, which is the part a sponsor actually pays for.

Before Play-Cricket

Your old scorebooks,read.

The archive turns any match Play-Cricket holds into a post. The scorebooks hold the rest. Photograph the pages and Pavilion reads what the scorer wrote; tap any figure and the box it came from lights up on the page.

  • A page, a folder of photos or a whole book at once
  • Every figure traced to its box on the page
  • The book’s own sums checked, so a total that does not add up says so
  • Names joined to your players only when a person says so

The stats site

Your club’s records,on your website.

Leading run scorers and wicket takers, every season, every player’s page and every scorecard, published from your record for anybody to look up. A link, or framed inside your club’s own site.

From your phone

Read it.Post it.

Every post waits in the queue until somebody has read it: every slide at full size, and the caption. Post now, or set a time and leave it. Plan my week decides what drafts when.

Nothing goes out unread.

A post waits for a person, unless you have told that post to send itself.

Nothing goes out twice.

Two taps, or two people approving at once, still post it once.

Not on Instagram yet?

Every post can be saved to your phone, slides in order with the caption, and posted by hand.

Safe by design

Your club’s datastays your club’s.

Read only.

Pavilion reads Play-Cricket through your club’s own key and never writes to it.

Nothing unread.

No post goes out until a person has looked at it, unless you have said otherwise.

Yours to take.

The whole record downloads as spreadsheets, on every plan. The book photos are kept for good.

Anybody left off.

Leave any player off the stats site, at once, everywhere. Nothing is published until you switch it on.

What it is

Matchday posts, the club’s whole history and its statistics, from one record.

  • Fixtures and team sheets, every XI, every weekend
  • Results, scorecards and league tables
  • Player of the match, picked by your captains
  • Season and monthly top performers
  • Sponsor and announcement cards on your own templates
  • Every season Play-Cricket holds, and the scorebooks before it
  • A statistics site for your club’s website

What it is not

It does its jobs well and leaves the rest to the tools you already have.

  • Not a club website. Pitchero and the rest stay where they are
  • Not a scoring app. It reads Play-Cricket and never writes to it
  • Not a bespoke design studio for every post
  • Not Facebook, TikTok or X. It is Instagram
  • Not memberships, fees or payments

Getting started

Four steps toyour first weekend.

  1. 01

    Start free.

Your club’s name, your league, your email, and the crest if you have it to hand. Fourteen days of Self run, no card.

  2. 02

    Pick your look.

Pavilion reads the colours off your crest and draws three looks on real cards with your club’s name. Choose the one that looks like you.

  3. 03

    Connect Play-Cricket.

Read only, through your club’s own ECB key. Pavilion writes the email asking the ECB for it; you send it from your address.

  4. 04

    Connect Instagram.

Your club’s own account, signed in on Instagram itself. Until then, every post can be saved to your phone and posted by hand.

Questions

Askedbefore.

The guides
Do we need anything from Play-Cricket?

Your club’s own Play-Cricket API key, which the ECB issues to the club. Pavilion writes the email asking for it; a site administrator sends it from the club’s address. The key is only ever used to read your club’s own fixtures, scorecards and tables. Nothing is ever written back.

Does anything go out without us seeing it?

No. Every post waits in the queue until somebody approves it. The only exception is one you make yourself: in Plan my week you can tell a post to send itself, if you would rather it did.

Which Instagram account does it post to?

Your club’s own. You connect it by signing in on Instagram itself, so Pavilion never sees the password, and it needs a professional (business or creator) account. No Facebook Page is needed.

Can we try it before Instagram is connected?

Yes. Every post can be saved to your phone, slides in order with the caption, and posted by hand.

Our old scorebooks are in a cupboard. What do we do?

Photograph the pages with a phone, a match at a time or a whole book, and add them. Pavilion reads them, suggests where each match starts, puts them in the record, and you check what was read against the page. The photos are kept as the record once the books are gone.

Who at the club can use it?

Everybody signs in with their own email, no passwords. An owner adds people, an admin looks after the settings, and a captain gets the week’s work: the queue, selections, making a post.

We already have a website.

Keep it. Pavilion is not a club website and does not replace Pitchero or anything else. Its stats site goes on the website you already have, as a link or framed inside one of its pages.

Whose is the club’s history?

The club’s. The whole record downloads as spreadsheets on every plan, the scorebook photos are kept for good, and nothing on the stats site is published until you switch it on.

Can we cancel?

Monthly plans cancel at the end of any month. A year up front runs to the end of its year.
